Our area sits in USDA Zone 5b to 6a, and it can shift inside one yard. A low spot that catches cold air on a clear night runs about half a zone colder than a slope 30 feet away. The bed on the south side of your house stays warmer than the one on the north. We plan for that.

Our Landscape Design Process
Site Walk and Base Plan
We measure your property and mark what is already there. We check sun at different times of day, test the soil, and watch where water goes when it rains. All of that becomes your base plan.
Planting Plan and Hardscape Layout
Now the plants get picked. You get a planting plan with spacing and placement, plus a hardscape layout for paths, patios, and walls. We group plants by how much water they drink, which is called hydrozoning.
3D Renderings and Irrigation Design
You see the whole yard in 3D before anyone digs. Irrigation design is part of the same plan, never an afterthought. Change a bed shape or swap a tree while it is still a drawing.
Install, in One Go or in Phases
Spring and fall are the best planting windows in Colorado, so we build around them. If the budget works better in pieces, we write a phased installation plan and follow it. Our crews handle soil improvement, planting, drip irrigation, and mulching.
